Interviewer: I had a chance to see your incredible workshop, the conflict resolution methods you showed seem very easy and straightforward.

When I taught in the classroom I did all of those physiological jedi mind tricks that where in the text books, but when I was in the real world they didn’t work. So I developed these conflict resolution strategies and put them all together in a Teacher Development workshop so other teachers can use them to reach their students.

Interviewer: So can these conflict resolution strategies work for a student in elementary all the way up to high school?

Jamahl Keyes-Teacher Professional Development trainer: Of course, the secret to it is identifying what the conflict is, by identifying what the conflict is you can properly defuse the situation. Many teachers leave the very crucial  step out of resoling any conflict in the classroom, by doing this you really can’t do the other two steps defuse and redirect.
